cpl news_cpl cricket betting_HFX Wanderers deal leading scorer Samuel Salter to Ottawa in landmark CPL transfer.

The HFX Wanderers have moved on from last season’s leading goal scorer.

The Canadian Premier League club have agreed to deal forward Samuel Salter to Atletico Ottawa for an undisclosed fee.

It’s the first time a player under contract has been sold by one CPL club to another. The Wanderers confirmed that they will retain a percentage of future sell-on fees.

Ottawa immediately signed Salter to a two-year contract, with an option for 2025.

The 22-year-old striker from Laval, Que., played two seasons with the Wanderers, appearing in 51 games and scoring 15 goals for the club. In 2022, Salter finished fourth in league scoring with 11 goals.

“This off-season, we’ve done a thorough evaluation of our squad as we shape it for this new Wanderers era under (head coach) Patrice Gheisar,” Wanderers sporting director Matt Fegan said in a news release. “We’ve purposely strengthened numerous positions to suit the system and style we intend to play to become a team that can compete for playoffs. Once it became clear we had strength and depth in Sam’s preferred position, we found a suitable fit for his career.”

cpl match_baji999 cricket bet_Simcoe County Rovers Add Former Cuban Internationals Benitez And Portal.

Midfielder Orlendis Benitez was also one of the Cuban national team members to defect following that Gold Cup match in 2019. Like Portal and Valour full-back Andy Baquero, he found his footing with the Vaughan Azzurri before testing himself at the CPL level, making three appearances for Forge FC last year.

Benitez contributed a healthy return of six goals in 18 appearances during Vaughan’s title-winning campaign last year, scoring against the Rovers at their last meeting.

The Rovers have some replacing to do after several of their inaugural squad earned professional moves following the club’s first season, with Leaford Allen, Aodhan O’Hara, and Kahlil-John Wentworth all earning pro deals elsewhere, while captain Justin Earle also earned preseason trials in the CPL while Shawn-Claud Lawson is trialing in the USL Championship.

cpl match,Cricket Betting,CPL Opening Weekend Gets Triple-Header After Scheduling Adjustment.

Pacific FC was initially set to host new neighbour Vancouver FC on Friday, April 14 at 7:00PM PT, with the new match now taking place a day later at 4:00PM PT.

That means that the league’s fifth season will now kick-off with a triple-header on Saturday, with one match following on Sunday.

The new 4:00PM PT kickoff time for Pacific means that Vancouver FC fans coming in from the mainland will be able to more easily catch a ferry back home afterwards, which seems a good move for what will be a historic night of Canadian football.

The opening weekend of regular season action will now begin with Atletico Ottawa and Halifax Wanderers kicking off the festivities in the early afternoon, with Forge and Cavalry following after that, and Pacific and Vancouver FC wrapping up a busy day of football.

“This is a call to our fans that we want to pack Starlight Stadium on April 15 and show Vancouver FC what Island pride means as we defend our house,” said Pacific Managing Director Paul Beirne, Managing Director, Pacific FC. “This will be Vancouver FC’s first-ever match and the beginning of a BC rivalry that stands to make history in our province.”

Fans who want to tune into the action can do so live on OneSoccer, for which the 24-hour channel is also available through fuboTV and Optik TV.

Preity Zinta, who was originally discovered by director Shekhar Kapur, made her debut in Mani Ratnam’s Dil Se in 1998.

cpl schedule

Starring alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala in the drama, the actor got the notice of fans and filmmakers even in a supporting role.

cpl news

Along with her leading role in Soldier (1998) opposite Bobby Deol, she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for both films. Soon, she made her mark as one of the top female actors in the 2000s.

cpl match

The actor, who turns 48 on January 31, had a number of hits with strong roles in films like Kya Kehna (2000), Chori Chori Chupke Chupke (2001), Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Dil Hai Tumhaara (2002) and Armaan (2003). Starring once again with Shah Rukh in Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), she picked up Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her performance as Naina in the Karan Johar film. Other hits that decade included Koi… Mil Gaya (2003), Veer-Zaara (2004), Salaam Namaste (2005) and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006).

But in the years after that Preity took on less work and appeared in fewer films. She then moved on to focus on her new role, as co-owner of the Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Preity also owns the Stellenbosch Kings which is part of the Mzansi Super League in South Africa as well as the Saint Lucia Kings team in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

In a 2012 interview with India Today, the actor spoke about her decision to turn team owner in the IPL. She shared, “When you reach a place of stagnation, you move to another zone. She added, “That’s when the idea of a cricket club came to me. At the time, it meant an investment of five million dollars which I thought I could do. Once I bought the team, I went to Harvard Business School. I did everything I could to learn this business and then I got obsessed with IPL!”

She was last seen in the long-delayed action comedy Bhaiaji Superhit (2018) along with Sunny Deol, Arshad Warsi and Ameesha Patel. The actor married businessman Gene Goodenough on February 29, 2016 and now resides primarily in Los Angeles. They welcomed twins, son Jai and daughter Gia, through surrogacy in 2021.

cpl teams – baji999 casino – Lancashire announces Daryl Mitchell, Colin de Grandhomme as overseas signings

LONDON: Lancashire have signed New Zealand pair Daryl Mitchell and Colin de Grandhomme on contracts that will cover the the Vitality T20 Blast and the start of the LV= Insurance County Championship.

cpl teams

In a sign of the changing landscape for overseas players in the county game, Mitchell and de Grandhomme will join the squad alongside Dane Vilas, the club’s long-serving South African batter, who stood down last week as club captain but will continue to play for Lancashire this season. With only two overseas players permitted in the XI, Mark Chilton, Lancashire’s director of cricket performance, said having the trio available would “provide us with plenty of options for different matches and scenarios”.

cpl schedule

De Grandhomme, who has previously represented Hampshire, Surrey and Birmingham Bears, will link up with the club for the start of the summer, potentially playing in four Championship matches before the arrival of Mitchell ahead of the Somerset game on May 11.

cpl news

Both allrounders will be involved in the Blast, with Mitchell available for Championship fixtures against Hampshire, Surrey and Essex and de Grandhomme also providing cover during June and July.

cpl match

“We are really excited to add both Daryl and Colin to our squad and to be able to do so for such a large portion of the 2023 season — which was a key factor for us when looking to make overseas additions this year,” Chilton said.

cpl scores

“The schedule, as it has been for the last few years, continues to be really challenging particularly in the middle part of the summer throughout May, June and July, due to the amount of cricket we’re playing in a short period. With that in mind, we want to ensure we’ve got enough strength in depth to cover for all eventualities and Daryl and Colin provide us with exactly that.” Mitchell, who played for Middlesex in 2021 and was Blackpool CC’s professional in 2016, was New Zealand’s Player of the Series during last summer’s tour of England, when he scored 538 runs at 107.60.

De Grandhomme retired from international cricket last year and has a wealth of experience in T20 competitions around the world, playing in the BBL, IPL and CPL, as well as the Hundred in England. De Grandhomme added: “I’m really looking forward to the opportunity of playing for Lancashire this season. I’ve loved playing county cricket previously and I can’t wait to get to England in April to kick off the season with the Red Rose. Lancashire has an exciting squad who have been so close to silverware in the last couple of years, hopefully I can help to add some experience to the dressing room so that we can go one step further this season.”

cpl news – baji999 casino – Salman Butt Reckons Mohammad Amir Was More Skillful Than Shaheen Shah Afridi As A Youngster

Salman Butt, the former Pakistan skipper, recently picked Mohammad Amir as the more skilful bowler than Shaheen Shah Afridi while comparing Pakistan’s star left-arm pacers.

cpl news

Salman Butt stated that Mohammad Amir was ready for international cricket right from the moment he made his debut.

cpl match

He mentioned that Shaheen Shah Afridi, on the other hand, took some time before finally finding his feet at the highest level.

Salman Butt Reckons Mohammad Amir Was More Skillful Than Shaheen Shah Afridi As A Youngster But The Latter Doesn’t Have Support Of Other Pacers Especially In Tests

cpl teams

The 38-year-old, however, suggested that there wasn’t much to differentiate between the two fast bowlers.

cpl schedule

Salman Butt claimed that Mohammad Amir had an advantage as he had the support of other bowlers, while Shaheen Shah Afridi didn’t have that luxury.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, he said: “As a youngster, Mohammad Amir was more skillful than Shaheen Afridi. He was a finished product right from the start. Shaheen too is not that far behind. It was just a matter of six months or so. With Amir, he had the support of a lot of other bowlers. However, Shaheen is alone, especially when it comes to the longer format. He has to carry all the weight himself.”

Notably, Mohammad Amir last played for Pakistan in 2020 during a T20I fixture against England. He announced his retirement from international cricket soon after, citing a lack of opportunities. The discarded seamer could make his return to the team following Ramiz Raja’s exit from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). He was also recently given permission to train at the National High-Performance Centre in Lahore.
The left-arm-pacer Mohammad Amir has represented Pakistan in 36 Test matches, 61 ODIs, and 50 T20Is before announcing his retirement. He has also played for Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Karachi Kings. In addition, he has recently played for Barbados Royals during the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2021.

He was a part of the playing XI that played in the second T20I of the series in Manchester on August 30, 2020. He represented Pakistan in 36 Tests and took 119 wickets at an average of 30.47. He also featured in 61 ODIs and claimed 81 wickets at an average of 29.62. He represented the Pakistan cricket team in 50 T20I matches, scalping 59 wickets at an economy rate of 7.02.
Salman Butt Reckons Mohammad Amir And Shaheen Shah Afridi Can Surely Play Together
Salman Butt further stated that there is no reason why both Mohammad Amir and Shaheen Shah Afridi can’t play together in the current Pakistan team. He mentioned that both bowlers are proven campaigners, and the two can surely be accommodated in the playing XI at once.
Salman Butt added: “It wouldn’t be fair to draw a comparison between Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Amir. They are both very talented bowlers. Why can’t both of them play together? You have to bowl at both ends, not just one. They can surely play together.”

Meanwhile, Shaheen Shah Afridi has been on the sidelines due to a knee injury and was not a part of the team’s recently concluded home series against New Zealand. The Babar Azam-led side performed underwhelmingly against the Kiwis and suffered a 2-1 ODI series defeat.
Shaheen Shah Afridi was last seen in action in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 final against England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and since then he has been out with a knee injury.

The knee issues have troubled the young left-arm pacer for quite some time as he also missed the Asia Cup 2022 and the home T20I series against England ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 due to a knee injury. He is expected to return to competitive cricket during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight, which will begin on February 13.

cpl scores – baji999 casino – Selectors keep Brevis, Rickleton waiting

Ryan Rickelton, the leading runscorer in this season’s CSA One-Day Cup, is eligible for selection for South Africa’s squad for their crucial World Cup Super League series against England in Bloemfontein this month. But he hasn’t been picked.

cpl scores

Neither has Dewald Brevis, who isn’t short of ways to earn handsomely without having to bother with playing for South Africa. Tristan Stubbs and Tony de Zorzi – the second and third-highest runscorers in the ODC – also didn’t crack the nod.

cpl teams

Rickelton wasn’t considered for South Africa’s Test series in Australia because he hadn’t had the ankle surgery he required to repair torn ligaments and deal with unnatural bone growth.

cpl schedule

Understandably the selectors weren’t keen on sending him halfway across the world if there was a chance he could break down during a match. At the time CSA noted their policy of not selecting injured players.

cpl news

Rickelton still hasn’t gone under the knife, but he is able to keep playing domestically with the help of injections. In 14 provincial innings across the formats this summer he has scored four centuries along with efforts of 99 and 75.

cpl match

Did the same reasons that precluded Rickelton from going to Australia keep him out of the England ODIs? “Not at all,” Victor Mpitsang, South Africa’s selection convenor, told a press conference on Wednesday. “Ryan has been performing very well. It’s about where he fits in. He’s an opening batsman, and unfortunately in a squad of 16 we just couldn’t get him in. But I’m sure his opportunity will come.” Quinton de Kock, Reeza Hendricks, Janneman Malan and Temba Bavuma are the other options in the squad to open the batting.

Mpitsang said the selectors had consulted the medics, who had “made it clear to us that, at home, the risk is not as high as when he travels abroad with his injury”. The policy against picking injured players would seem equally optional.

Brevis scored an unbeaten 70 at a strike rate of 170.73 to lead MI Cape Town to victory over Paarl Royals in the SA20 opener at Newlands last Tuesday. At 19 he has already played in the IPL and the CPL, and is the focus of an intensifying conversation in South African cricket about the importance of ensuring the next generation of cricketers knows they are valued by the national structures. Otherwise they might as well become T20 league mercenaries, earning exponentially more money and having to put up with exponentially less stress.

Were the selectors telling Brevis they weren’t interested in him? “We’re not trying to chase him away at all,” Mpitsang said. “We’ll try and introduce him against West Indies with the different formats, especially T20.”

West Indies will play two Tests, three ODIs and as many T20Is in South Africa from February 28 to March 28. With a bit of luck, Brevis won’t have moved on by then.
