Rahkeem Cornwall has grabbed the spotlight in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) season while playing for Barbados Royals. In the 18th match against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Cornwall smashed a remarkable century off just 45 balls. This stunning performance comes shortly after he faced heavy criticism for a run-out incident earlier in the tournament. The Royals were chasing a challenging target of 221 runs, and Cornwall, as the opener, bludgeoned almost every delivery he faced.
His explosive innings included 4 boundaries and an incredible 12 sixes, two of which traveled a whopping 110 and 111 meters. Cornwall retired hurt after reaching 102 runs off 48 balls, with his team on the verge of a memorable victory. Notably, after achieving his century, Cornwall celebrated with a bat-drop, perhaps in response to the earlier criticism.
